if I do full LASIK on both eyes, it'll make my near vision worse

Wife, several months ago. This.

Monovision does seem like the perfect scenario to keep the near vision as well as improve the full distance vision.

Was told that but didn’t want to do that.

Good news is my near vision is bad too, so now we have readers and magnifying glasses all over the place
Before her surgery she had started bustin my balls about not being able read tiny labels and shite. Well, that stopped.

Yea, I'm thinking maybe some of the replies are giving their exact experiences, which is exactly what I asked for and does give me hope. But from the Dr today and all my research, it's pretty adamant that it says it will make your near vision worse once past around 43 ish.

My wife does this...everywhere lol. I just never have worn glasses and really would rather avoid it. If I ever put on 3D glasses or my kid's VR headsets, I legit get a migraine in like 2 minutes, I feel like glasses would do the same...probably wrong but I'm just stubborn and do not want glasses.

Yea, my wife and kids always make fun of me for the distance vision.

Gonna risk it and opt for the monovision LASIK.
