Endless expanses of marsh with occasional shell middens where Jean Laffite may or may not have stopped to exchange goods bound for New Orleans. Someone may be casually catching a slot red on a subsiding midden and and have no clue about it's colorful history.

The Mississippi River has everything to do with what makes Louisiana unique and special.

Also, build the diversions!
