TL;DR: This was by design.
If you've spent any time in Spain you would know they don't take their work too seriously over there. I could definitely see Doritos Spain's marketing team being lazy and not looking through this guys tweets from 9 years ago

I’ve worked there a handful of times but probably not enough to get the landscape. I didn’t realize this was just Doritos Spain? Still doesn’t seem like anyone would be this stupid. But I guess?
