In 2018 Kirby Smart had only been a HC for 2 years and hadn’t won a national championship yet. I would have bet that he was a top 5 coach at that point. Having less experience doesn’t automatically make you a worse coach.

Who mentioned Kirby Smart? Now do all the coaches with less than three years P5 experience who failed

Smart was left with a way better roster at uga, Kelly had a cluster at LSU, not even close. Mark Richt could recruit. O left a mess, a cluster.
