I guess it depends on how much blood you are talking. (Not a vet, just have a dog with a sensitive stomach)

My dog gets blood tinged diarrhea at least once a week, sometimes she coughs up blood tinged mucous as well. She has an extremely sensitive stomach and if she gets even a crumb of something, it will give her a stomach ache. We give her a maximum strength pepcid when this happens (per vet recommendation) and she’s usually fine in 12 hours. Vet said that the blood is just from stomach inflammation.

Now, if you’re talking straight blood and dark colored vomit, I’d head to the vet now

I wouldn’t say it’s a lot in either. Just never had it in both before. The throw up was more mucusy type, not dark, but had enough to make us go “o crap that’s not good.”

He’s been on a prescription hydrolized protein food bc of his sensitive stomach but we were going to try to switch him to something different (basically so him and our girl dog could be on the same food) but that doesn’t look like it’s going to work.
