I agree: a lot of rock and metal incorporates hiphop like nu metal did, but they’re not under the nu metal label. Metalcore has rapping and trap beats all over the place these days. Falling in Reverse is probably the closest thing to nu metal that isn’t nu metal today.

If you want a new nu metal band, try Vended. It’s literally Slipknot.

While not under the nu-metal label, I think Metalcore's current state is very indebted to nu-metal. And probably worse for it. (And I know this is not true of all current metalcore.)

Not that I have ever been a huge fan, but the latest Underoath was unlistenable to me, and it was because all I could hear was the nu-metal beats and guitar stylings.
