AirBud rose to prominence in 1997 but any good Team USA Hockey talent scout would have seen AirBud’s athleticism.
Sure, AirBud would have been younger but not in dog years. He was actually the perfect age for Team USA Hockey at the Junior Goodwill Games.
The fact that Gordon Bombay didn’t find AirBud and put some skates on him baffles me to this day. Go find great athletes and teach them great hockey.
