General Hawk or Duke...who was the better leader?
Posted on 12/15/08 at 2:36 pm to therabidsmurf
im taking duke.even though he was a general, i dont think hawk had the respect of all the joes and he seemed like a dick. and duke had scarlet. that is impressive. i didnt see hawk with no woman. the way duke was able to survive that snake from serpentor was fricking legendary. i think duke wanted his legacy passed on to Lt. Falcon his half brother. hawk probably thought he would always be the leader.

Duke, he built that team from the ground up. Hawk tried to come in on some Larry Coker shite

agree, i mean where was hawk when duke was being held prisoner in the cobra temple and being forced to fight gargantuan gladiators?

Ummm.... Hawk was one of the original Joe's. Duke came in long after.

I was more focused on Scarlett.

i think Duke had a better feel for the pulse of his guys than Hawk so I'd go with Duke.
he was more of a player's coach.
he was more of a player's coach.

Care to wager on that ?
Hawk was one of the original figures that came out in the 82. Duke came a year or two later.

Ever read the comics ? He was both.

Snake Eyes was a Ninja. I had the comic where he and Storm Shadow trained under the same masters, and how their original rift began.

I thought they were brothers.
As to the original question, Duke was the better leader. Unless you wanted to pull some real black ops shite, then I would go with Flint.

This is correct. Hence the reason Snake Eyes was such a badass.

They were buddies in Nam. Snake Eyes had his face messed up in Vietnam, when he got back to the states, his family was killed in a car accident. He started training with Storm Shadow's family at that point. Cobra Commander sent someone to kill Snake Eyes, but one of his masters was accidentally killed, and Storm Shadow was framed for doing it.

So why does the G.I. Joe cartoon toy line refer to him as a ninja?
