Not so much what I said as my timing and tone (desperate and horny - I was going through a divorce and hadn't been laid in about a year!).
On a Monday night, I was in Dallas on business and went to a sports bar to watch the Cowboys. I met up with three women, with one of whom I seem to have hit it off. We traded small talk for a while and seemed to connect. Then I blurted out: "Let's go to my hotel room and do the nasty."
She gave me a dirty look and pointedly ignored me after that. She and her two friends left a half time, and as she was leaving she handed me her card and said "call me."
About two years to the day after that, she and I were married.
