Nothing matters anyway until employers change their policies to align closer to alcohol. I can get shitfaced at home over the weekend but if I drink a THC seltzer and get piss tested on Monday I’m out of a job.
None, there is no difference. Its akin to drinking wine vs rum, one comes from sugar cane/molasses, the other from grapes, but come from different sources and both have alcohol. Now imagine the govt said rum is illegal but wine is fine
. Employers have been slow on the draw to update policies because its impossible to tell the difference between hemp vs mj derived thc via drug test.

I'm assuming if you are doing something like operating heavy machinery, "telling the difference" between one or the other is not really something they are concerned with.
