LSU admins thought they needed to fire Wade and did.

And that is the flaw. The Admins wanted Wade gone and took advantage of the opportunity to get rid of a successful coach. It was not a secret around the Athletic Department that Woodward and Tate didn’t care for Wade.

ETA. Everybody involved in this process, including the LSU admin, was well aware that the IARP wasn’t going to hammer Wade or LSU regardless of whether he was fired or not. The vast majority of the allegations against Wade could not be proven by the NCAA. If all the dumbasses that keep referencing his wife’s checking account were to actually read the findings, they would see that NONE of those allegations were upheld by the IARP.

Whether or not Wade was guilty is irrelevant. He was asked to come forward and explain/defend himself. He refused. He lawyered up. The admins gave him another shot and a short leash provided Wade could at the least answer some simple questions. He lied. LSU is 1st and foremost an institution of higher learning and must protect that responsibility above all else. When you have ncaa allegations, true or false and then throw in the threat of an fbi investigation they had absolutely no choice but to cut ties. It’s that simple.
