They did it because he’s amazing at deadpan humor: Improvisational comedy.
Weirdly enough, I think he’ll be great in a role like Frank Drebin. Similar to Jon Hamm as the new Fletch. It wasn’t fantastic but it was a solid comedy and homage to the original Fletch movies.

Hell, I read the subject title and my brain read it as Leslie Nielson. I was like...isn't he dead
