I found a new appreciation for him with the call on Tommy White's HR against Wake Forest.
For a good bit there, he couldn't have cared less about his actual job and the fandom came through. I'm pretty sure 90% of us all basically did the exact same thing he did in reaction! Add in dropping an audible f bomb later on, and the 2023 CWS might always be his shining moment in sports commentating.

A truly authentic moment - he ran out of the box and ran back in. He was a dog on the mound and is rough as an announcer and I appreciate that. Totally true, IMO
