I know I'm preaching to the choir, but this show is incredible. I am not familiar with the source novel, so it's all new to me.
That dinner scene with Buntaro (one bad motherfricker) was so tense.
The gardner/pheasant situation really makes you feel for just how lost Blackthorne really is.

Between the Gardner, his consort, the Pheasant, arguing with Mariko’s husband, and handing Toranaga his swords, they really nailed the fish out of water aspect for him this episode. Just a complete culture shock for him and the Japanese.
Him setting the rock back up in garden in shame for the Gardner was heartbreaking.
