Thanks for that, we’re on episode 4 now. I could do subtitles for Narcos on Netflix because I some idea of what was being said, without reading everything. Japanese not so much. FX can put out quality TV and Shogun is definitely that. Also, the dubbed version doesn’t sound ridiculous.

The ads on FX suck. Too often and they really cockblock the drama in good moments. I guess that's designed to trigger Hulu subscriptions.

They did a good job of making me feel uncomfortable at times for this episode 5.
The story moves well. Netflix wouldnt have revealed Mariko's story until season 03.
Yabushige-sama's scenes and dialog are golden. His casting was spot on.
