I’ve eaten my weight a couple times over in bass due to having several ponds that constantly need thinning. I don’t understand the bleeding heart mentality on any decent sized lake, the population is going to be dependent on habitat, not you keeping 4 12” fish. That said, I’ll trade 10lbs of bass filets for 1 lb of white perch, and I don’t understand why anyone would set out to target bass to eat unless they are jumping in the boat. Bream and white perch just taste better and are easier to get in the boat consistently if you’re going on a meat haul.

I disagree. Bass taste great, and they yield great, and they are super easy to clean. Bass were made by God to be fileted and fried.

I love some crappie, but a nice little 13-14 inch bass is pretty damn delicious. And I dont love bream like some do, dont get me wrong I like em .
