It’s just not as good as the first two. The peak is Dark Knight.
Also this universe is basically exactly how I imagined Gotham and Batman growing up. Picture perfect example of bringing source material to life rather than reinventing it or trying to use it as a vessel for your own take.

Rises has a more cohesive plot and story that sticks to the comic. 2nd best in the franchise next to begins
This is how TDK should be described. It was a terrible take on gotham city. Was esentially 2 terrorists running around NYC in costumes

This is true, but it calls into question the integrity of the entire trilogy. Bale's Batman simply cannot stand on his own. He is defined by Ledger's Joker. The Dark Knight is almost 100% about Joker and carried almost 100% by Ledger's performance.
