This statement is just silly and emblematic of being overly wrapped up in paranoia.

In reality, it’s no different than people who holler about “free speech” being violated by a private entity. It’s just a misconception that people have because they are ignorant of the nuisances
involved. It’s easier for people
to understand “I have a right granted by the second amendment to own a gun” than the 2nd amendment acknowledges my right to bear arms and therefore prohibits the government from infringing on it. There’s no nefarious grand conspiracy.
