The largest land owner in MS is the Lawrence family. There's also a group that owns over 50,000 acres. He owns the south the majority of the land in Anna's Bottom. My family used to own the north end of that tract

My father has property in east ms that is bordered on 3 sides by the Hall family that has 50-60k in the pine belt. Of course its a family business scattered all over the place and not a playground like Boelte. And, alluvial plain>>>>pine trees.
