re: Divorce Board Spin-Off: If you have been married, why did you get married?

I had a few reasons:
1. I really relied on her for everything emotional. I didn’t really know how to function without her. Still haven’t really figured it out 100%.

2. I wanted to live with her, but she was very religious and traditional.

3. I wanted a family and to raise kids with her. I didn’t find out I couldn’t until after we were married. That information ended what was already a rocky marriage.

4. I had zero self-esteem and saw zero chances of anyone else ever wanting to be with me. Considering she was my first real gf, but we had dated for 5 years and been through all kinds of crap together before getting married, it seemed a wise choice.

5. I didn’t want to call off the wedding and have to move in with my parents after having already given up my rent house. I decided to bet on the relationship. I lost.
