re: Entitled Couple Acts Tough with Cop, Turns Citation Into Arrest

About a year ago I blew through a red light, I saw the red light but my mind was elsewhere. Moments later I saw blue lights behind me, so I pulled over. The cop gets out of his car and approaches my vehicle, this is what comes next:

Cop: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: I ran a red light.
Cop: That's correct sir, did you not see the red light?
Me: I did, but I had my head up my arse and blew right through it.
Cop: *laughs*, Ok, I appreciate the honesty. I need to see your DL and registration.
Me: Ok *hands the officer what he asked for.

Cop walks back to his patrol car, comes back about 2-3 minutes later with what I thought was a ticket in hand. It was a warning
Cop says "be more careful next time, enjoy your day".

Just try to get along with cops, a lot of times you'll walk/drive away with just a warning. Or, you can just be a dick and take a chance on getting arrested for something unrelated to why he/she pulled you over in the first place.
