McKenna continues to be a front runner.

I thought she was basically a lock after her first performance. Her story is great, she’s got such a good voice, and she’s absolutely stunning. I thought it was beyond a wrap.

But her last couple performances have left me a little underwhelmed. I think with some fine-tuning she’ll eventually be a real star, but her voice has been all over the place lately. Needs to tighten it up.

I agree with this, although it was really just her last performance that I think put her in danger of going home last night.

Really sucked that her and KB were the bottom two because I think KB has grown a lot under the coaching and had some great performances the past few weeks.

I am glad they saved McKenna though. I just think her voice is more unique, although she isn’t going to be able to match up with Jack or Abi, who are clearly the two best singers imo. She’s still awesome and America loves her story and will have a career in music for sure.

Jack is an absolute star. What he did last night singing both Lionel Ritchie and Willie Nelson songs to perfection was incredible. I don’t think there’s any doubt he has a long career ahead of him.

You Were Always On My Mind

Abi has been one of the best pure vocalists all season, but I admit I wasn’t her biggest fan just because I found her voice pretty generic without much uniqueness, even though she hits all the notes perfectly. But her performance of Evanescence last night might have been one of the best performances in Idol history. A real show stopping moment that might win the whole thing for her.

Bring Me To Life

Would love to see those three at the end but as sometimes happens the country vote is dominating, unfortunately.

Will has gotten better but still isn’t anywhere near the vocalist of those three. And as likable as Tristan is I feel like he’s actually gotten worse and his age and lack of experience is really showing against these other much more talented and versatile musicians.

But the two of them in the finals with Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter Emmy wouldn’t surprise me because this often turns into a show that the country vote decides, and this seems to be one of those years.

Hopefully Jack doing a Willie song wins him support from the Nashville crowd to get him to the end because he’d have the most impressive finale performances to watch imo.
