Maybe now that everyone can be armed, people will stop acting so fricking crazy if there’s a chance they may be shot.

There’s a saying from the film Starship Troopers that has a lot of truth in it: “Violence is the supreme authority”

Fear of opposing violence is what keeps other people in check. If a person wanted to commit a mass shooting, and knew he was in a constitutional carry state with high gun ownership, you can bet that he would be having second thoughts about doing it. If everyone around him was armed and ready to return fire if he shot up a store, he would be put down quick. Or better yet, he wouldn’t even do it in the first place.
