The New Orleans Pelicans are signing guard Jalen Crutcher to a 10-day contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Crutcher has averaged 17.7 points and 5.6 assists for Pelicans' Birmingham Squadron G League team.

Hawk and Ryan can't get minutes but 6'1 175 lbs guard from the Squadron can? I don't think so. I have to believe the recent activity, this and signing Malcolm Hill to a 2 way is a way to get some guys they want to keep in Birmingham a little extra cash so they'll want to come back next year.

I don't get it. Why would we need him given the number of guards this team has?

I really think its about the money to reward guys they like in Birmingham. I remember 2 summers ago one of the GLeague guys you wouldn't expect to get a 2 way from the Pels got one for like a week. I don't know how the 2 ways distribute the cash, but I assumed it got him some extra money and that's why they did it.
