The arms races has gotten out of control, and the time demands of the support staff are wayyyyy out of control. So they ask the NCAA to be the bad guy and ban the things that are time and labor intensive so they don't work the support staff to death.
This. The schools want some of these restrictions because it’s gotten absurd and it’s a never ending race to the top as schools try and keep up

Yeah everyone angry at the NCAA saying this is pointless needs to realize many of the schools/support staffs honestly want this and the photoshop thing. Probably some other similar ones coming to
