My 8 year old female lab had a bump on her belly, and after having it tested ended up being osteosarcoma. It is very rare to have it pop up on the mammary, but that’s what she had. Per LSU, full cancer treatment might have given her 6 months, but they just didn’t know. There have been so few cases and very little info on it, we opted for no treatment and she made it about 3 months. She did well until the last week, it came on hard and fast. I would make sure the vet tested that bump.

Same with my golden. He got the cyst removed, but it eventually popped back up. Once they have it, it's just a matter of time. Fortunately, he was his normal self for about 6 months or so after the cyst was removed. It seemed over night he really started going down hill quickly and we put him down shortly after that.
