So that's what the proponents of moving away from charter schools want to "move back to"?

I can only guess that they are either uneducated on that level or progress or else are counting on the rest of the public being uneducated on it. Oh, irony...

Most (not all of course) charters are well run and part of being well run means you take accountability.

A certain segment of our society isn't a fan of accountability.

There's some minor stuff here too, like people upset about school names changing.
