Take SPS reported by charters (and any school, really) with a huge grain of salt. The corruption in reporting is disgustingly rampant. It is all a shell game. Many schools scores go up because they force very student to take dual enrollment and AP courses, tweak this program or that, and voila, improved SPS. Doesn't matter if they pass; The school system still gets the points. EBR does this at every high school, while forcing middle school kids to take HS credit classes (many of which are not worth taking).

Every school - traditional or charter - has been gaming the system as long as there has been a system to game.

So if everyone is cheating... I think you just look at the relative improvements. Which favors the NOLA charters.
