Even tho this is true, I still think byes are stupid in a cfb playoff.
We're gonna have 5 conference champs in, 4 get a bye, 1 will have to play an extra game and risk injury based on the infallible "eye test"

I couldn't disagree more. Byes at least reward the teams who had a special season.

That 5th team should be happy to be invited to the party, a G5 team can never win the championship in this format.
