Work nights, I sleep 4-6 hours max, haven't used an alarm clock in years. Weekends, I sleep like a baby and get at least 10-12 hours.
Its anxiety related for sure. Very similar to how kids feel about the night before Christmas where they want to hurry up and go to bed so that Christmas will come sooner. Except for me its work, not Christmas. Actually, its the quiet time at work in the morning that I value so much, where no one else is here to distract me and I can fk off on the OT, drink my coffee, watch some financial youtube vidoes, respond to emails, and/or do the minutiae work stuff that requires some short term brain retention. Not being able to start my morning off this way sucks balls. I feel behind along with a higher probability of having to complete deep thought tasks while being interrupted.
