I'd recommend the Smyrna/Vinings area. The Battery (where the Braves play) is there too which has alot of stuff as well.
If they are planning to use Marta, then the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area would be a good choice. Buckhead would be an option too but I don't care for that area anymore.
Another option would be the Alpharetta area like where Avalon is. This is going to be the "safest" choice. However this is pretty far north of the city.
