Yeah, the obvious end to the "don't sit out a year" transfer rule was Ole Miss a few years back. They gave waivers to the players who wanted to play in a bowl game their next season since Ole Miss would be ineligible (probation) so they "waived" on them. But remarkably Shea Patterson was only a TR SO who could potentially play in a bowl game 2 years later after probation was over. But he wanted to go to Michigan and the NCAA was stuck having to rule on a high profile QB and tell him he couldn't play for Michigan the next season. {crickets on making him sit out a year}. That was the end of the 1 year sit out rule right there.
