I’m assuming rod/reel combo for this project so $20 would be my guess.

We were thinking rod/reel combos, but that's a good thought. $10 for one or the other $20 for both.

And here's what my buddy who's his project coach said about his work effort the two days they were building the bench together...

He's a very good young man!!
I've been around a lot of kids
Very few impress me but this Kid Did
While I was doing something I came back to weld table & he was setting up the next material
I didn't ask him to he did it with out being Told
You can't teach that
He never was dicking off with these Damn Phones
I didn't even see one
In 20 years of being a Supervisor I've only endorsed 1 Kid
Now I can safely say I will endorse 2
Good Job Mom & Dad!!!!!

Cabelas did 20 used rods (which is really what he needs for the leading his troop requirement.) They said the could do more if needed and offered an additional gift card donation as well.

Their trade in Program runs Thru the end of the month so he's going to reach back out them.

And while we were out, our local Walmart called with a $50 gift card. So he got the last 5 clearance rods from them. I think that puts him at around 30 new rods, 20 used rods and 50 more promised from other companies. His original obligation to the DNR was 30 new/used rods. They have about 400 in their inventory right now so this will be a significant boost for that program.

Now if I could just get him to do his social studies homework.
