I raised 3 boys and all finished their Eagle. It always amazed me how good people were about donating time, money and materials for all of their Eagle projects. They had companies donate pressure treated lumber, rough cut cedar, tandem load of crusher run gravel, bags of topsoil, nails and screws. Basically everything needed for raised beds, blue bird houses and elevating a walking trail to a observatory building.
I also had local sporting goods store that donated 22 ammo, targets for a shooting sports camporee. Safety supply house donated safety glasses and earplugs also.
There are good people out there!

The kid spoke about his project at a local fishing club last night at Sheels. He got a hand full of cash donations (around $100). It was their yearly raffle night to raise funds for their club. So he put in $20 for $25 tickets. He won a spinning combo and someone who'd won a single rod gave it to him. He added both to his growing collection.
And they had 4 trips in the raffle last night. Of course the kid wins a white bass trip in April/May.
