This At a DH Holmes for 12 year-old me. Sumbitch stole my right tennis shoe. Got my foot out before it got pulled in too. It was a down escalator and there were two saleswomen behind the counter at the bottom of it who watched it happen. One of the them took me up to the shoe department and I picked out a pair of green Converse low tops to replace my shoe. The shoe wedged good enough when it got down to the bottom of the escalator to actually force it to stop. I was the shite next week at school with my new dogs.

Escalator edge pulled my sneaker in and wouldn’t let go. Someone shut off the escalator 2 steps before the bottom. Took the escalator apart, threw it in reverse, and pulled by foot out. Crazy to think about almost losing my foot.
