1988 or so I was flying home on leave from England to California (back when the state was somewhat normal).
I was one of SIX passengers on a Boeing 747.
I had a whole middle row to myself. Smoking and eating/drinking/sleeping for 13 hours. The good ol days, except no inflight movies at that time.
That was the closest to First Class I ever got.
