I have been a Nuss fan since watching his HS film before he signed with LSU. I was also concerned with some of the struggles JD had in 2022 with stretching the field and reading defenses.
However, reading through this thread it's clear some don't fully understand how big a jump JD made from 2022 to 2023. His deep ball and timing was as good as any QB in CFB. His ability to read defenses and make correct decisions was at or near the top. TD/INT ratio, completion percentage, YPA, big play ratio and nearly every metric were near the top of CFB without any consideration of his running ability.
The only reason JD was not a unanimous Heisman winner was the defense prevented LSU from being a playoff team.
