The 8 million that came in since 2021 were not legal. Be precise in your arguments. The coders, Afghan/Iraqi interpreters, etc., have every right to be let in faster than they currently are.
In reality, many of them (ETA: them doesn't mean interpreters and people with skills) would still screw us like they screwed Canada and got Trudeau elected, but we'd probably attract far more Ukranianans, Poles, Nigerians, and other educated folk than randos from Guatemala, Sierra Leone, etc.
Crocodiles and land mines will solve the problem.
