That seems awfully optimistic, when he'll be opposed at every turn and face an uphill battle even within his own party.

You're talking about deporting more than the populations of Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama combined - and that's just the last 5 or so years of illegal entries. It would have to be the single greatest force of manpower and money ever released within our borders to even make a dent in the illegal population at this point.

Just tracking each one down throughout this vast country and going through the legal motions to prove that they're here illegally would take inordinate amounts of time and effort for each one, factor that times about 10 million.

In short, I'm not so optimistic we can even do anything to combat those that are already here. We're fricked in that regard. All we can do is lock down the border TIGHT to not let even more in illegally.
