My wife is 4.5 years older than me. I have no data to support this, but I'd suspect that relationships are probably more successful when the spouses are within 6-7 years of each other in age.

It is rare. When the socials talk about being attractive in your 40s to much younger women it doesn't take any account of a long term relationship for the reason you stated. Sure it is fun to pound on a 20 something year old but rarely is it sustainable enough for a solid relationship

I can’t think of anything I’d have in common with a 28 year old either
