Wife and I went to Homer. Took a halibut charter we booked same week. Also fished that tidal pool they have in Homer and caught nice salmon from the bank. Also down at the spit state park. All via rental car to and back to anchorage. It was very affordable. Caught some nice halibut and some salmon on the charger and enough salmon from shore to keep me happy.
