Real Genius was one of my favorites growing up. Val also had the extremely over the top Top Secret during that time.

One that I just thought of that always made me laugh was Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Steve Martin and Michael Caine.

What are we considering underrated here?

Some posters are going obscure (myself included) compared to audience/fan loved movies.

Just for what it's worth, critics wouldn't know a funny comedy if a cinder block landed on their head.

Look at critical reviews of movies like Step Brothers, etc.

That said, is Ice Pirates (1984) a funny movie? God knows I laughed my arse off.

Top Secret

I loved this movie; I was about to post it myself.

Plus, my all time favorite movie: My Favorite Year.

The Alan Swan character was great and one of my favorite Peter O'Toole roles ever. Coupled with all the other characters and Benjy Stone's neuroticism (Mark Linn-Baker - Cousin Larry), it is still great. Over Thanksgiving this past year, I watched it with my 18 year old. She loved it.
