The way I reconcile this is in concluding that actual good decent people have enough people who love and respect them, such that SOMEONE would step in and ensure something like this is not happening to them.

The fact that this piece of shite seemingly has NOBODY willing to do so, pretty much tells me everything I need to know about him as a human being.
