If going to Colorado and assuming you arent rich, then I'd set up shop in Eagle and do Beaver Creek and Vail.

If you are rich you can stay at Beaver Creek or Vail. They are close enough that you should do both.

They are a notch above the Summit Cty resorts and us tunnel trash dont like to venture that far so not as crowded usually.

Crested Butte is a better place in the summer.
