We stayed in McCormick, SC last year (about 45 minutes away) and played both Savannah Lakes courses. Lots of elevation change and courses were relaxed with no big upcharge for Masters week.

The year before we did Palmetto in Aiken, SC. Rates are really high, but course is awesome. Kiz will probably be at the clubhouse hanging around drinking beer. Absolutely worth it to play, as it's probably the closest to an Augusta National type course I'll ever play. Greens are unbelievably fast but roll so true. I'd play there again if I had the opportunity.

We also did East Lake in Atlanta, but it's closed for renovations this year.

Most of the course jack the rates up astronomically during Masters Week.

Savannah Lakes as the other poster suggested is a good idea.

If money is no object, try to get on at Sage Valley or Champions Retreat.
