Dennison hasn’t coached in the NFL since 2021 — the year he opted out of taking the COVID-19 vaccine and was then moved to being a senior offensive assistant for the Vikings. But Dennison has almost 30 years of coaching experience, spending most of his career under former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan. Dennison has been an offensive coordinator four times in his career, two stints of which were under Gary Kubiak — Klint Kubiak’s dad.

Dennison and Klint Kubiak also worked together in Minnesota, first when Kubiak was the team’s quarterbacks coach and later when he was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2021. As an assistant, Dennison helped the Broncos win three Super Bowls — two under Shanahan and one under Gary Kubiak. Before going into coaching, Dennison, a former linebacker, also played nine seasons for the Broncos.
