I'm not sure I would have made a trade for Gafford, although I have in the past said he's a guy I wanted.
The point I'm making is that this is a trade that will propel the Mavs upward just like last year's trades did the Lakers.
Short-term it's a win for the Mavs just like it was for the Lakers. Long-term, probably not.
