How old is your laptop? What type of USB ports do you have? Tell us what your wife bought you.

ETA: I think you will need a USB-3.0 or USB-C port to do what you want to do.

The computer is less than 1 year old. It has one USB C port and two USB A ports. She bought me a Domyfan 2 -- LINK

My ports do not process video. It needs to be a full function USB port to do so.
