Moved to Midland from BR in 2002. Just moved to TN last year. Midland is a great place to make money and raise kids. Good food. HEB is the best grocery store, period. Midland is dry, hot, and windy all of the time. The water is undrinkable. You can’t even wash your car with it. There’s not a lot to do. Everyone around there has lake houses or ranches somewhere else and takes off on the weekends. People are good. Traffic is stupid for such a small place. Property taxes are ridiculous. The people and business opportunities are what kept us there for so long. Now I just do everything remotely and fly in for meetings.

Where? There’s nothing around for hours on end.

That’s awful about the water. Why can’t you even wash your car with it? How do they shower and bathe?

Not from Midland but this is what I've consistently heard over many years as well.
