Trump took them, lied about having them, hid them and told others to go along with it.
That's one difference, the other difference is that Trump was President and had a legal right to retain classified documents while Biden was a Senator and then Vice President who did not have a legal right to possess such documents outside a SCIF, let alone in his garage.
